With 75 percent of Summit County's 600 square miles dedicated to the Arapahoe
National Forest combined with four nordic ski centers, that combined boast nearly
100 kilometers of groomed trails it's no wonder that Cross Country skiing has
been gaining popularity in Summit County. Each of the four Cross Country
skiing centers offer everything you would need for enjoying cross country skiing.
In addition numerous tour services and outfitters provide day trips into the
surrounding forest.
Keystone Resort
Keystone Resort's Nordic Center features 18 kilometers of set track and groomed
trails and another 57 kilometers of backcountry trails as seen in the photo above.
Instructors, guides and rentals are available.
Frisco Nordic Center
The Frisco Nordic Center, located one mile (1.6 km) south of Frisco provides 35 kilometers of groomed trails wandering through the wooded coves and shoreline of Lake Dillon. A 1,400 square foot log lodge provides a warm and cosy gathering place. At the lodge is a retail shop, rental equipment and sales and cross country skiing instruction.

Breckenridge Resort
Breckenridge Resort's Nordic Center is located at the base of Peak 8 and
features 18 kilometers of set track and groomed. Instructors, guides and

Copper Mountain Resort
Copper Mountain Resort's Nordic provides 25 kilometers of set track and groomed. Instructors, guides and rentals are also available. 970.968.2882
